I have an A1200-030 50MHz with HD that I have used for testing. When I finnaly got TKG in the mail, I unwrapped the box and installed it on my hd. I have also played AB3D and AB3D was really a great game, so I was very excited to try TKG. After installing TKG, I started the game. A great intro was shown and then I had to enter the protection code.

The graphics in TKG is very nice, but the gfx-engine is very slow. The game is bearly playable in quarter screen 1x1. Compared to AB3D, the playability is not so great.
The atmosphere in TKG is very good. The sound are very good if you choose 8 channel stereo you can hear the alien creatures emerging. The advance gfx-engine with shadows and lightsource environment gives makes a lot of scary moments.

Speed up is possible... A patch is created to speed up TKG and it really works. With this patch the game is very playable on my computer in quarterscreen 1x1 and ok in 1x2 fullscreen (it will be slow if many moving objects are on the screen). This patch enhance the playability a lot. If you don't have it, download it to day.

If you want to be very scared hook your Amiga to a big-screen (television or video-transviewer) and to a stereo-rack. Turn off the light and play TKG in 2x2 or 1x2 fullscreen. On a televsion 2x2 is not that bad. The sounds and the environment will make you jump in the chair when aliens are attacking you from behind or appear just around a corner.
