Singsakerbakken 17Remodeling brick condo from 1950 |
We kept the old coking coal (koks) oven on right (unfortuantely covered by a kids board in photo below).
The old dining room became the new living after also putting an arch in the doorway between the two.
Best feature: New Polarhjornet corner fidge on left. More more info on it: http://www.rorosmetall.no/kundeservice/kjolerom.pdf
Custom cabinetry from designed according to my specs from Brovold , a small cabinatry shop in Rissa, near Trondheim. Ceiling heigth is 252cm (standard 240cm). The cabinets are solid wood throughout -- pine interior, birch doors/drawer fronts.
New custom kitchen. |
Living room arch peeking into new kitchen |
Old WC had no space for a sink, but together with old closet we could use the old plumbing, but went for a more modern wall-hung toilet.
The floor was re-done adding heated flooring under the emerald pearl (sort larvikitt) floors that was put down in a diamond pattern.
I had the stone store custom cut floor tiles into strips that we then used as wall boarder and "framing" around "bricked in" wall mirror above sink.
Old closet opening was covered with glass blocks to bring daylight in from master bedroom.
Old WC (too small to have a sink!) |
