• A normal linear address space

• Replication and migration of pages over the network on demand

• Need to locate the page “Owner”

  • Do broadcast to find owner
    • Bothers all
  • Page Manager keeps track of the owner of each page
    • Single Manager
      • Bottleneck
    • Multiple managers
      • Which one?
    • Each process keeps track of the probable owner of each page
      • A request is sent to the probable owner, which forwards if no hit
      • Should rebroadcast ownership after a while
