Music

Music is a very important part of my life. I play the piano, the bass and the guitar regulary. Mostly I play to accompany to choirs or at christian meetings or services, but I also create my own music. For years I have been in charge of the band of the christian family choir called FISK (Familikoret i SKaun). I am also playing in a worship band used for services in Salem Menighet in Trondheim. I am also involved in other creative activities like producing animation films for @tension animation studios.

Here are links to other musical projects I have been involved in:

  • PIGS
  • Klovner på en snor
  • Blaff

    Sport

Sport is both fun to perform and watch. My favourite sport is football (soccer). Every week I play football with some friends of mine, indoor during the winter and outdoor during the summer. In addition I like to ride my bike up and down the hills where I live. During winter I also do some skiing and I really enjoy slalom. Previously I have been involved in a lot of different sports: badminton, volley ball, basket ball, and indoor hockey.

I also enjoy to watch sports on TV or live. Mostly, I watch football and my favorite team Rosenborg ballklubb. I also enjoy to watch the Norwegian football team play agains other countries. Rarely, I also watch winter sports like skiing, ski jump and biatholon. Lately, it has become more important to watch matches when my daughters are playing football or handball.

    Games

I have always been found of playing and developing games and game technology in various forms like playing cards, board-games, TV quiz, and computer games (from Commodore Vic 20 to PS3). The interest for TV-quiz' have resulted in three projects where I have developed the TV-show games Jeopardy, Do you want to be a millionare, lastly Lecture Quiz. I have used these games in many lectures, parties and weddings with great success. I have also been involved in commercial game development.

I also like to play video games mostly on consoles like PS3, PS Vita, Wii, XBOX360, DS, iPhone and iPad. I play game both for fun and as a part of my work to study concepts, technology, and social aspects. Games are also used in my teaching to give examples of how game technolgy and game concepts develop over time. I play a lot of different games, but my favorite game genres are racing, social, adventure, action and platform. Here is a list of some of my favorite games of all time: Gran Turismo, Need for Speed, SSX, FIFA, Ratchet & Clank, Buzz, Warhawk, Motor Storm, Uncharted, Tiger Woords, and Dirt.
I would like to thank Electronic Arts - Norway, and Nordisk Film AS for providing games to NTNUs research program on video games.

    Belief

The most important part of my life is my belief in God. I am a Christian, which means that I believe that Jesus came to earth, that Jesus did miracles and good deeds, that Jesus died on the cross for all peoples wrong-doings (including mine), and that Jesus ressurected from the death and is alive today.

My belief in God means that my past is forgiven, I have a purpose for living, and a place for me is waiting in Heaven. The best part for me being a Christian is that I have peace and joy in my heart, I have found the purpose of life, and that I do not have to worry about the future.

If you are looking for a good church in Trondheim, I can recommend Salem Menighet, which is the church me and my family attend and engage in. The church services in Salem is in a more relaxed and modern atmosphere that in the traditional church services in Norway, with little liturgy, variation in music style (from pop, rock, traditional, and more), and a strong message.

If you have serious questions about if God exist, can we trust the bible, has Jesus lived, does Jesus live today etc, I recommend to take a look at these videos or mp3 that take a serious and closer look at evidence for Christian faith. You can also contact me directly by email.

If you want to read about my spiritual journey, take a look at this article (in Norwegian)
You can also watch an interview of me by Egil Svartdahl on Pluss Part here:
Help from God - with Alf Inge Wang | Plussprat Episode 1, Season 4

Once in a while, I preach and here are some audio-files from my preaches (Norwegian):

Here is some great material if you want to know more about the Christian life:
